Java Developer with around 4+ years of experience will build and maintain Entitlements Platform services and environments using industry best practices. You will work on a strategic platform leveraging DSE Graph, Apache Cassandra, and Google Cloud Platform to provision, determine, and maintain bank account access in near real-time. The role emphasizes DevOps, high-quality software, and continuous learning in an autonomous engineering environment. You’ll contribute to an omni-channel, secure customer access experience within Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services division.

- Hands-on and proven expertise with Java 21+, including deep knowledge of modern language features and performance-oriented coding practices.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing microservices using Spring Boot, with a focus on scalability, observability, and cloud readiness.
- Practical experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services,including deploying, monitoring, and optimising distributed applications.
- Proficiency in Cassandra, SQL, and Gremlin, with the ability to model, query, and tune data stores for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and environment configuration management, ensuring robust, reliable, and repeatable delivery workflows.
- Experience supporting production environments, including incident analysis, service reliability, monitoring, alerting, and improving system resilience.
- A strong willingness to learn and continuously explore emerging technologies, tools, and platform innovations.
