Senior Application Engineer - Backend (Cloud)

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Application Engineer with strong backend and cloud development expertise to help design and build scalable, secure services that power Internal Platforms.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs supporting mobile and event-driven architectures
• Contribute across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements through deployment and maintenance
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers within the team
• Promote best practices such as TDD, BDD, and secure API design
• Collaborate with technical leads, IT teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Apply design patterns and engineering best practices to create maintainable, efficient systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement through new ideas, tools, and approaches

What We're Looking For

• Strong backend engineering experience and problem-solving skills
• Experience designing APIs for mobile applications and event-driven architectures
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred:

• Experience building distributed microservices using Java or Kotlin with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and secure API design
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with API design principles and automated testing
