Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a mission-critical distributed service within Microsoft's IC3 ESS Account Pool Manager. Scope includes cloud infrastructure, developer productivity, and security to enable reliable, compliant testing at scale for hundreds of millions of users. You will set technical direction, drive cross-team initiatives, improve test coverage, and participate in on-call maintenance while championing inclusion and accountability.

Overview
About the team and platform

Microsoft 365 (M365) Intelligent Conversation and Communications Cloud (IC3) is the platform that powers billions of real‑time conversations across Microsoft Teams and Copilot. IC3 underpins messaging and collaboration experiences across multiple Microsoft products and operates one of Microsoft’s largest, most business‑critical distributed systems.

The Account Pool Manager (APM) team is part of IC3 Engineering Systems & Services (ESS), responsible for building reliable, secure, and compliant engineering platforms. APM provides a foundational service for large‑scale, high‑load automated testing, managing the lifecycle of hundreds of thousands of test assets across diverse environments. This enables engineering teams across IC3, Microsoft Teams, and other organizations to test at scale and ship faster.

We are an AI‑forward engineering team, applying agentic tools to real production workflows to deliver measurable improvements in engineering velocity and reliability.

Designed with security and compliance at its core, the platform continues to evolve as a highly distributed system—expanding across sovereign clouds and regions to meet growing scale and complexity.
