Join the Prime Brokerage Data team to develop and maintain the Data Fabric platform—an API-first, cloud-friendly system that publishes and distributes governed datasets across the firm. The role focuses on building resilient, highly scalable server-side services (primarily Java) to improve system resiliency, deliver functionality for internal users, and enforce data governance.

We're seeking someone to join our Prime Brokerage Data team as a Java Developer in Institutional Securities Tech.

Data Fabric is an API-first platform where producers publish once and distribute governed datasets to multiple endpoints. Metadata-as-code synchronizes to the firmwide data catalogue, automating onboarding, schema control, SLAs, lineage, and archival.
The distribution engine routes data to target containers (e.g., Snowflake) while enforcing governance and access policies. Data Fabric reduces risk, accelerates integration, and improves data reuse across the enterprise. It is the backbone for Prime Brokerage and Securities Financing data platform.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Java Developer position at Director level, which is responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs and requirements.

What you'll do in the role:

    - Develop resilient and highly scalable cloud friendly systems operating in today's demanding financial environment

    - Work on the “Data Fabric” system to

    • Deliver functionality that our internal business users and developer community can benefit from
    • Improve the resiliency and effectiveness of the system

What you'll bring to the role:

    - Bachelor or higher degree in a STEM field
    - Strong knowledge of Java or Python, primarily within server-side development with at least 3 years of experience
    - User level knowledge of Unix/Linux
    - Strong communication skills in English with proven ability to deliver high-quality software working in multi-person teams
