Job title: Performance Engineer – (Product & Innovation/ Cloud HCM Engineering)

Location: Devanahalli Campus, Bangalore North

 

What you’ll build

 

  • Drive performance engineering activities across the lifecycle — including architecture review, performance analysis, testing, bottleneck identification, and tuning of applications.
  • Collaborate with module and development teams to design and build high-volume, low-latency cloud-based HCM applications.
  • Analyze production performance issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement tuning or design improvements to ensure system reliability and scalability.
  • Optimize application performance through code improvements, configuration tuning, and workload analysis.
  • Work as an independent contributor responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of performance engineering tasks within the team.

 

What you bring

 

  • BE/B.Tech/M.Tech (full-time) in Computer Science or related field with strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design).
  • 5–7 years of experience in performance engineering, performance testing, and troubleshooting of large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing and profiling tools such as LoadRunner, Dynatrace, jProfiler, or similar tools.
  • Strong expertise in performance diagnostics, bottleneck identification, root cause analysis, and tuning of Java-based applications in production environments.
  • Hands-on Java backend development experience using technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, and Tomcat/JEE.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and system-level monitoring tools (e.g., nmon, vmstat, iostat, JMX).
  • Experience with modern infrastructure and platforms, including web/application servers (Apache, NGINX), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), caching (Redis), and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, TeamCity).
  • Strong understanding of database performance tuning, scalable system design, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure); experience with large-scale SaaS applications is a plus.
