Director of Application Development responsible for building out new functionalities as well as enhancing existing capabilities of the system, in collaboration with business analysts, QA, operations and product management. Implement new functionalities using Java and PL-SQL, enhance existing ones, and support monthly releases. Lead and train the application support team, respond to technical queries, and participate in release activities within the Fixed Income Technology platform. Requires 10+ years of Java development and strong knowledge of Oracle, Hibernate/Spring, and JMS.

The Team:

As a Director of Application Development you will take part in building out new functionalities as well as enhancing existing functionalities of the system. You will work closely with the business analysts, QA test team, operations and product management team.

Responsibilities in Impact:

  • Implement new functionalities using Java and PL-SQL
  • Enhance existing functionalities
  • Train and assist the application support team
  • Respond to technical queries from operations and product management team
  • Take part in monthly release support

What We're Looking For:

Requirements:

  • Must have 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
  • Must be well versed in PL-SQL, stored procedures and experienced working with Oracle.
  • Must have working knowledge of Hibernate/Spring
  • Thorough understanding of JMS and executor framework.
  • UI development experience is a plus
  • Experience working in Fixed Income Technology platform is a plus.
  • Understanding of bonds (price/yield relationship, coupon, accrued interest, yield to maturity, yield to worst etc)
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income Derivatives such as interest rate swaps/swaptions is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $109,582 to $207,813. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
