The role requires proactive planning, strong communication, and acting as a liaison between end users, product management, and engineering teams to plan and conduct user acceptance testing. Responsibilities include analyzing user stories and acceptance criteria, designing test scenarios, executing tests in UAT, reporting defects, and contributing to automated testing using Selenium with Java. Candidate should have 3-5 years of acceptance testing experience and familiarity with agile practices.
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Systems Associate. This role will be a part of agile team performing Functional, Acceptance Testing (UAT & EUT) of web based/Client-server applications as well Reporting and Analytics platform. The key to success in this position is proactive planning, prioritization, and outstanding testing. This role will work within an agile team, must be a solid communicator, deal with mistakes and conflict resolution, and know how to work efficiently. They will act as a liaison between end users, product management, and engineering teams by planning and conducting user acceptance testing.
In this role, you will:
Key Responsibilities for this Technology Business Systems Associate include but not limited to:
- Analyze User stories, understand the Acceptance Criteria. Identify and communicate requirement gaps.
- Identify Test Scenarios, prepare test design/test cases.
- Understand the Agile culture, adopt the agile mindset and practice the agile methodology.
- Work in Agile Team and participate in all the Scrum events- Daily Stand Up, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Planning & Retrospective.
- Scrum and Kanban end to end life cycle knowledge.
- Ensure definition of Done is met.
- Executing tests in UAT environment to support User Acceptance Testing.
- Report defects to development and perform re-testing
- Contribute to developing, maintaining, and executing the automation scripts in Selenium (with Java) for the implemented changes.
- Contribute to building out the Smoke/Regression Automated Test suites.
- Prepare the essential and required test metrics & summary reports.
- Hands on experience in generating different reports in JIRA (Burn Down Chart, Burn Up chart, Release report, Sprint report etc.)
- Provide and prepare timely data for Release report, utilization etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Acceptance Testing: 3-5 years of proven experience with Functional testing, System Testing and Acceptance Testing (Alpha and Beta Testing)
- Database: Good exposure & working understanding of Simple to moderately complex SQL queries.
- Agile: 1+ years of Agile experience
- Automation (Selenium, Java): 1+ years of Automation testing of web/windows-based applications and backend systems.
- Exposure and understanding of Reporting Tools like-Power BI, Tableau. (Good to have)
- Knowledge of project management concepts is added advantage
