The Opportunity 

You will join the Adobe Express team in Bucharest, where you will contribute to the creation of the next generation design tools within the application. You will be backed by Adobe’s resources, talent and decades of expertise in creative tools.

You will work with skilled and passionate engineers, equally capable of giving and receiving technical guidance. Your work will be used by tens of millions of creators each month. You will have the chance to get the best out of your engineering expertise as well as of your product mindset.

What you'll do

• Develop high-performance, reliable, testable and maintainable code
• Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs
• Identify internal/outside technologies and when/how to use them
• Work well both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team
• Partner with people in other roles (Product Management, Design, etc.) to create amazing products
• Work closely with teams across Adobe, sometimes in different geographies
• Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team
• Demonstrate features, propose and review technical solutions

What you'll need to succeed

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience or equivalent knowledge
• Strong computer science background (data structures, algorithms). 
• Fluent in at least one OOP programming language (experience with C++ and / or Typescript is a big plus)
• Able to learn new technologies and adapt to change
• Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking

Bonus Qualifications

• Strong skills in JavaScript / TypeScript / HTML /CSS, ES6, React or equivalent UI frameworks
• Experience with advanced JS concepts like C++ to JS transpilation and WASM
• Web application development experience
• Experience with graphics programming, especially vector graphics
• Experience with Agile development processes including Scrum
• Knowledge on typography and design layout concepts
• Proficiency in using AI tools for engineering tasks is considered a strong plus
