Join the IES Latency team to reduce latency for emerging market shoppers and bridge performance gaps with Amazon's best regions. You will work on advanced latency optimization services, UI improvements for perceived performance, and systematic bottleneck identification and resolution across mobile and web apps. This role covers mobile performance engineering, web performance optimization, and infrastructure/backend optimization to build scalable capabilities that benefit Amazon's global infrastructure, impacting millions of customers. Basic qualifications include 2+ years of non-internship front-end/web/mobile development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
