Position Overview

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Create clean, modern, and testable code with good documentations;
  • Work independently and suggest architecture and design improvements to existing implementations;
  • Collaborate with our engineering team across all stages of the product lifecycle;
  • Work on an Agile team with a modern CI/CD environment;
  • Understand and apply software design concepts like security, availability, and scalability;
  • Write unit and integration tests and integrate them into the automated development pipeline;
  • Provide accurate estimates of development time and aid in implementing business requirements for project;
  • Mentor and support junior team members through code review, pair programming, and collaboration;
  • Collaborate with business analysts, users, and UI designers to jointly develop effective solutions;
  • Voracious learner. You’re quick to share tips and tools you’ve picked up and you’re open to learning new things from your co-workers;

Skills:

  • 5+ years of frontend development experience;
  • In-depth knowledge of the development of web-based user interfaces with React.js, JavaScript, and Typescript;
  • Practical knowledge of REST endpoints and APIs;
  • Demonstrate a passion for building high-quality software;
  • Experience with Google Cloud would be a plus;
  • Be a proactive communicator who enjoys working closely with creative and technical peers;
  • Work in a dynamic Agile/Scrum-based environment.
