Role Description

  • We are looking for a Functional QA Test Engineer to join our Single Sign-On Services Engineering team in Pune. In this role, you will lead the functional testing efforts for mission-critical applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery through structured test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to validate business requirements, drive test automation, and improve overall product quality. This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for quality assurance in agile environments.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of functional test cases for web applications and APIs
  • Validate business logic, user flows, and system integrations across multiple environments
  • Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of new features and regression scenarios
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and ensure testability
  • Identify, document, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or equivalent
  • Drive test strategy, including risk-based testing, test data management, and automation integration
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and support onboarding of new team members
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility, security, and performance standards

Your skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in functional testing of enterprise-grade applications
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, REST Assured) is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic scripting for UI validation
  • Familiarity with OAuth2/SAML/OpenID Connect flows and federated identity systems is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Fluent in English
