Role Description

  • We are looking for a passionate, forward‑thinking, and highly skilled Senior frontend engineer to support the Global Financial Crime Intelligence Unit (GFCIU) within the Anti‑Financial Crime (AFC) department. In this role, your role will involve working within an agile Scrum team to develop and implement new features for our products that are designed for AFC business within Deutsche Bank.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to the development of a shared codebase for our online applications targeting small and medium-sized corporations within Deutsche Bank.
  • Utilize your engineering expertise in the development of new features and ensure the cleanliness and industry-standard compliance of the codebase.
  • Prioritize the use of modern technologies, design principles, and agile methodologies in your daily work.
  • Regularly participate in peer reviews with your team to ensure the quality, extensibility, and reusability of your code.
  • Engage proactively within the engineering community, share your expertise, and establish a robust network.

Your Skills and Experience

  • At least 10 years of proven experience as a frontend engineer
  • Dedicated knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Possess an excellent experience in frontend technologies, RxJS and leading frameworks such as Angular. Additionally, demonstrate examples of both unit testing (using Jasmine, Karma, Jest etc.) and end-to-end testing (using Cypress).
  • Hands on experience with NgRx, Redux patterns and reactive programming concepts.
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing Micro-Frontend architecture, Understanding of responsive design principles.
  • Experience with React and component-based UI architecture.
  • Understand the concept of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and have hands-on experience with it, especially with GitHub Actions.
  • Have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, able to write reusable, testable, and maintainable code, and are familiar with agile methodologies.
  • A team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and best practices, learns quickly, listens carefully, and is willing to mentor junior engineers.
  • Possess a university degree in a technological or scientific field or have equivalent work experience.
  • Possess strong communication skills and can fluently communicate in English.
