Lead Fullstack Software Engineer with a strong focus on UI to join Docusign's Collaboration & Negotiation team. Design, implement, and ship features using React and TypeScript, with occasional backend work in C#/.Net. Mentor teammates, participate in Agile Scrum practices, and drive product features from design through deployment while maintaining a high bar for code quality and scalability. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering.

What you'll do Docusign is seeking a Lead Fullstack Software Engineer with a strong focus on UI to join their Collaboration & Negotiation team. The role involves contributing to UI design and software development, collaborating with other teams, and mentoring colleagues. Key responsibilities include brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions, improving team processes, and taking ownership of product features. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product engineering, particularly modern UI frameworks (React, Typescript, etc.) with some backend experience, thrive in entrepreneurial environments, and lead by example. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Engineering. Responsibility Drive the design, implementation, testing, and release of product features Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code in React, Typescript and occassionally on the backend (C#, .Net) Represent a high craftmanship bar on the product features shipped Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to develop new features Participate in an Agile environment, using Scrum practices, code reviews, automated unit testing, end-to-end testing, continuous integration, and deployment Design scalable solutions and build fault-tolerant systems using telemetry and metrics Investigate, resolve, and maintain code for production issues as needed Ensure code quality, readability, and maintainability Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. What you bring Basic BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 12+ years of experience in software engineering 8+ years of experience in UI development 2+ years of experience in backend development Experience with advanced web applications Experience using Git or other version control systems Fluency in English, both verbal and written Preferred Strong experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile/Scrum environment Passion for exploring new technologies and a proven track record as a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership Experience in a SaaS environment, with practical knowledge of Cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Azure, and large-scale microservice architectures Proficiency in the entire software development lifecycle, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments Experience with Javascript and React.JS is an added advantage Expertise in debugging high-priority production issues and managing work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Eagerness to continuously learn and adopt new software technologies Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $177,900.00 - $287,425.00 base salary Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $170,900.00 - $251,325.00 base salary This role is also eligible for the following: Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance. Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
