As a Software Engineer Intern on the Developer Experiences and Extensibility Platform team, you will write, test, and deploy code across Azure-hosted microservices, influence distributed system designs, and work with AI developer tools to improve how developers integrate with Docusign. You’ll partner with engineers to translate product requirements into production-ready features, own from design to rollout, and contribute to architecture, documentation, and security. The role includes learning enterprise engineering practices like CI/CD, automated testing, feature flags, and secure deployment, with a final design presentation to leadership.

In this role, you will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, influence distributed system designs, and utilize AI developer tools to shape the future of how developers integrate with Docusign. You will partner directly with engineering stakeholders to turn product requirements into shipping code. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering Responsibility Write, test, and deploy high-quality code across several micro-services hosted in Azure Own your features from the design phase all the way to production rollout Collaborate with senior engineers to understand and design architectures that are secure, scalable, and extensible Solve complex architectural pain points Partner with product teams to identify friction in our current developer flows and implement solutions that define the next generation of the Docusign experience Gain a comprehensive understanding of enterprise engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, feature flagging, and secure deployment strategies Contribute to technical documentation and architecture diagrams, culminating in a final presentation where you will showcase your design and impact to the wider engineering leadership team Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. What you bring Basic Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms Experience writing, debugging, and testing code (side projects or previous internships) Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field Preferred Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 Familiarity with cloud computing concepts (Azure/AWS), Typescript/Javascript and modern Agentic coding developer tools such as Copilot Excellent communication skills with a hunger to learn new technologies and a desire to understand how systems work under the hood A proactive attitude toward identifying problems and engineering efficient solutions Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
