As a Senior Software Engineer, you will guide architecture and technical direction for FactSet's User Configurable Framework (UCF) and mentor a small distributed team across the UK and USA. The role involves full-stack development with VueJS, TypeScript, C#, Java, and Python, and building scalable data platforms with cloud technologies. You will collaborate with product and other teams to deliver robust, production-ready software and drive delivery of complex systems from concept to deployment. The User Configurable Framework (UCF) team is seeking a talented, motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong full stack skills. UCF is a critical component for accelerating FactSet’s Pricing and Reference Data business offering turnkey delivery of configurable API, flat-file and cloud data solutions. Our rapidly growing, newly established team oversees more than $2.5 million in revenue.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will guide architecture and technical direction, mentor a small distributed team across the UK & USA, and design scalable solutions that power FactSet’s global data strategy. You’ll be exposed to the entire technology stack, with opportunities to quickly prototype and deliver impactful systems at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Works as a full-stack software engineer to develop and maintain UCF using modern frameworks and cloud technologies (Tech stack: VueJS, TypeScript – C#, Java, Python – PostgreSQL, Redis, S3 - Heroku)
  • Work with product, engineers and stakeholders to drive the development of a scalable, modern feed platform for clients
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices
  • Interface and collaborate with multiple teams, from Content, Infrastructure to Delivery.

Required skills:

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in Full Stack development (VueJS, C# and/or Java is a plus)
  • Proven success in leading the delivery of complex software systems into production
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to deliver robust solutions from concept to deployment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for learning new technologies, sharing knowledge, and mentoring peers
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities.

Education:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
