Responsible for gathering testing requirements by evaluating product specifications, raising clarifications with product owners and analysts. Participates in project planning, analyzes requirements and helps with effort estimates. Develops and maintains test scripts for manual, automated and performance testing to ensure software meets standards and end-user needs. Coordinates with team members across global teams, maintains up-to-date documentation, and drives continuous improvement in testing practices.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Gather testing requirements by evaluating the product requirement specifications (functional / non-functional) and raise clarifications with product owners, business analysts and customers

  • Actively participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyse requirements and provide feedback to estimates of work

  • Develop, execute and maintain test scripts/cases – manual, automation, performance, and supporting analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements

  • Communicate clearly with team and keep clear line of communication open to ensure full understanding of tasks, asking questions where necessary

  • Maintain a full, accurate and up-to-date documentation

  • Ensure software testing and quality standards are consistently applied throughout the delivery life cycle

  • Co-ordinate work of other team members, promoting an inclusive and open culture, working with global teams

  • Drive continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

  • Exhibits moderate knowledge in Software quality assurance processes and methodologies

  • Exhibits moderate experience in manual, test automation or performance testing

  • Exhibits moderate experience in the Software development life cycle and one programming language (JAVA or Python), preferably in multi-tiered applications.

  • Understanding of financial markets, experience testing financial software a plus

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Stays up to date with best tooling and emerging technologies

  • Takes ownership of problems and drives themselves and others to define and implement solutions

  • Flexibility to learn new technologies and play multiple roles in the team as required by the project

Desired Skills

  • Typescript/Javascript

  • Core java is plus

  • Cucumber/gherkin

  • Postman

  • Basic Linux knowledge

  • GIT, CI/CD, testing automation tools and frameworks

  • Familiarity with Cloud concepts

  • MSFT Office, PowerBI

  • Agile methodologies, Scrum
