LSEG Workspace Engineering is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead development for the China Self-Reliance project, focusing on WPS Add-on integration. This is a senior technical role where you will architect and deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions that comply with platform standards and enable self-reliant capabilities for the China market.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead technical vision for WPS Add-on development and integration with Workspace Platform.
· Design and deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions using TypeScript, Node.js, and Office.js.
· Ensure performance, security, and compliance standards are met across all deliverables.
· Work and follow platform standards, including quality standards, performance benchmarks, and security guidelines.
· Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment strategies
· Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-location teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
· Mentor engineers and champion best practices in architecture, coding, and testing.
· Explore innovative techniques and independently develop solutions for complex integration challenges.
Required Skills & Experience
· 8+ Years as a software developer
· Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web frameworks.
· Knowledge of Office.js, Office APIs, and integration with enterprise platforms.
· Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
· Solid understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
· Hands-on experience with C/C++ development, particularly for performance-critical components or native integrations.
· Demonstrated ability to explore and implement advanced techniques independently for complex platform integrations.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make high-impact architectural decisions.
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Linux OS application development on ARM CPU architecture, including optimization for resource-constrained environments.
· Familiarity with performance tuning, memory management, and cross-platform development.
· Prior experience in Office add-on ecosystems or similar integration frameworks.
