We are seeking a software engineer with 6+ years of hands-on .NET/.NET Core and Angular experience to join Morgan Stanley's Advisory team in Bangalore. You will contribute to Portfolio Comparison Analysis (PCA) within the WealthDesk platform, building and maintaining REST APIs and front-end components. The role involves full software development life cycle, working with cloud/deployment tools, databases and source control, and collaborating with business users to deliver financial portfolio analysis capabilities. Strong communication, data analysis, and ownership are expected as you help drive delivery in a financial domain.

Position Description
We are looking to hire a talented software engineer having 6+ years of experience to join the Advisory team in the Morgan Stanley Bangalore office. The Advisory team is responsible for maintaining and building systems for Advisory business.

We are working on Portfolio Comparison Analysis (PCA) application within the WM Advisory platform's WealthDesk, designed to help financial advisors create and analyze different portfolio constructions. It allows advisors to compare proposed portfolios, evaluate strategies, and make informed recommendations for their clients. We are looking for a software engineer to help drive the development. The role is primarily to create and maintain application built using .NET/.NET Core Rest APIs, Angular.

Required Skills
Functional:

Experience in financial domain and understanding of portfolio management functions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects.
Technical:

At least 6 years of hands-on .NET/.NET Core along with Angular skills
Experience in developing client-server, distributed, real-time applications using .NET/.NET Core
Working knowledge of Cloud development environment and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Azure for CI/CD deployments
Experience with web service development, REST and Services Oriented Architecture
Excellent knowledge and experience in front end technologies like Angular, HTML5/CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript
Shell scripting and Python scripting knowledge in Unix/Linux environment would be good to have
Involvement in full Software Development Life Cycle of the project
Working experience in SQLS / Stored Procedures with a RDBMS
Experience working with Source Code Management solutions like (ex. Git, Perforce)
Experience testing software (e.g. Unit testing, using frameworks, performance testing/tuning)
Strong object-oriented design and development skills
