THE ROLE: You will join AMD’s Test Engineering team, working at the intersection of software, silicon, and manufacturing. In this role, you will help bring new AMD microprocessors to market by developing test software, enabling ATE test content, and supporting silicon bring‑up through debug and data analysis. You’ll collaborate closely with design, product engineering, and global manufacturing teams, gaining exposure to cutting‑edge technology and influencing product readiness at scale. THE PERSON: You excel in fast‑paced, technically complex environments and enjoy solving problems across hardware and software domains. You communicate clearly, collaborate well across teams, and take ownership of challenges. Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a drive for continuous improvement will help you succeed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop test software, ATE test content, and test programs for next‑generation microprocessors. Support silicon bring‑up, including pattern conversion, timing validation, and debug. Analyze test data and drive root‑cause investigations to improve yield, cost, and quality. Lead the integration and release of test programs to high‑volume manufacturing. Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure correlation across lab, factory, and customer environments. Provide technical guidance and contribute to improvements in tools, methods, and processes. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Scripting or programming (Python, Perl, C++, Java, etc.) Semiconductor product development ATE test development (vectors, timing, diagnostics) Pattern generation/conversion Debug across hardware, software, or manufacturing Linux/UNIX and version control tools Familiarity with JTAG IEEE 1149.1 and HDLs Agile methodologies; experience with high‑volume manufacturing test release Collaboration with distributed engineering teams ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Preferred: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
