AMD is seeking a software engineer focused on FPGA verification and regression testing to improve performance of applications and benchmarks. You will debug HW/SW regression test failures, create test cases for regression suites, and collaborate with the SW, DevOps and Verification teams, applying data-driven optimization. The role requires RTL experience (Verilog/VHDL), FPGA tool flow understanding, and strong Python skills, with a Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Leadership and communication skills are valued to drive complex issues to resolution.

Verification on Software FPGA - Regression testing THE ROLE: AMD is looking for a specialized software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications and benchmarks. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with AMD’s SW team, Devops and Verification team for a common goal. Analyse and debug HW/SW Regression testcase failures Create testcases to prevent failures in SW regreassion suites Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work Develop technical relationships with peers and partners PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong background in RTL design using Verilog/VHDL Should have worked on FPGA software tools Understand EDA flow or FPGA flow very well Strong foundation in Digital design and timing analysis Hands on in Python and working knowledge of AI agents Effective communication and problem-solving skills ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with experience in handling complex issues related to FPGA flows. #LI-SG2 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
