Join Amazon Prime Air as an Electrical Engineer focused on designing and developing low and high voltage power electronics hardware and related power systems for Prime Air Drones. You will collaborate with internal and external vendors to support hardware development, manufacturing and testing, build prototype hardware, and lead test planning and execution while documenting results throughout the process. Prime Air is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop low and high voltage power electronics hardware and related electrical power systems for Prime Air Drones. You will work with internal and external vendors to support hardware development, manufacturing and test. You will also be responsible for building prototype hardware, leading test planning and execution, and documenting results throughout the development process.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
- Experience designing inverter and converter circuits
- Knowledge and experience with embedded control of power electronic circuits
- Experience using software tools such as Spice, Mathcad, Ansys, and Matlab
- Experience leading PCBA board bring-Up and validation testing
- Experience with CAD software (CATIA preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience with requirements development and documentation
- Experience developing aviation power electronic hardware
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting language
- Experience working with commercial standards (DO-254, DO-160G, DO-178)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
