We are seeking a Test Lab Operations Automation Engineer in Amazon Leo Production Operations to implement and integrate automated testing solutions across Leo Labs and manufacturing environments. You will bridge MSE developers, testing and operations teams, deploying automation tools, configuring test equipment, and maintaining automated testing infrastructure to improve throughput, reliability, and repeatability. Responsibilities include building and maintaining TestStand sequences and Python/LabVIEW-based test frameworks, integrating equipment with automation systems, setting up data collection and CI/CD pipelines, and providing technical support and training for laboratory automation users. You will work cross-functionally with software and hardware teams and communicate updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Manufacturing Systems Engineering under Leo Production Operations is responsible for delivering test software, hardware, and frameworks that improve the speed and quality of satellite component testing. We partner with engineering and production teams to enhance reliability and repeatability of our test systems, improve throughput, and accelerate transition.

We are seeking a Test Lab Operations Automation Engineer to implement and integrate automated testing solutions in Leo Labs and Manufacturing environment. This role serves as a bridge between MSE developers, testing, and operations teams, focusing on deploying automation tools, configuring test equipment, and maintaining automated testing infrastructure to streamline laboratory operations. In this role you will work across the org with many software and hardware teams for the implementation of automation solutions, prioritizing critical efforts and providing updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
• Implement and maintain automated test systems, TestStand sequences, and Python/LabVIEW-based test frameworks in high-paced production environments
• Perform hardware/software integration and real-time troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor
• Configure and integrate test equipment with automation systems
• Set up and maintain automated testing platforms (TestStand, LabVIEW)
• Implement data collection, reporting tools, and automated notification systems
• Manage version control and change management processes for automation tools
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Provide technical support and training for laboratory automation users
• Create comprehensive documentation for automated systems and procedures
• Debug communication issues between test equipment and control systems
• Support Manufacturing Engineers and Lab Technicians on test station issues
• Understanding of test station network infrastructure

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
