Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As a Senior TPM for an Satellite Communication System, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary technical programs for Amazon's LEO satellite constellation, driving the planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical satellite communication systems from development through full-rate production and on-orbit operations. This role focuses on optical inter-satellite link systems, navigation sensor functionality, and integrated satellite communications infrastructure that will deliver high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide.

This role requires exceptional leadership working across multiple-functional teams in satellite hardware, flight software, ground services, network operations, and mission operations disciplines. You will translate strategic system requirements into executable roadmaps that deliver innovative solutions for LEO satellite communications at scale.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
- 5+ years of satellite communications ground systems and operations experience
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams
- Experience identifying, mitigating, and managing business risks and tradeoffs
- Experience working with engineering and technical teams to build automated solutions
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Experience with AI/ML tools for program optimization and predictive analytics
- Proficiency with scripting (Python, SQL) and workflow automation tools

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience with architecture or system engineering
- Experience delivering software projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience in practical work applying ML to solve complex problems for large scale applications
- Experience with optical inter-satellite links, LEO constellation operations, or navigation sensors
- Knowledge of satellite AIT, Software Release Manifests, OTA updates, and flight software

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
