Join AXA Group as a Junior Risk Modeler Apprentice focused on natural and man-made catastrophes. You will participate in developing and implementing the next generation of internal risk models (hazards and vulnerabilities) for events such as floods, windstorms, earthquakes, wildfires, and more. You will help expand model use cases across risk management, underwriting and prevention by developing modeling products. The role is based at AXA Headquarters in Paris for a 1-year apprenticeship starting September 2026, in a fast-paced, international environment.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT We are looking for our next Junior Risk Modeler for Natural & Man Made Catastrophes Apprentice as of September 2026 and for 1 year at our AXA Headquarters! Within AXA, you will join the Group Risk Management Department in the Property & Casuality modeling team. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES What You’ll Do Actively participate to the development and implementation of the next generation of internal risk models (floods, windstorms, storm surges, earthquakes, wildfires) for both hazard and vulnerability module. Contribute to expanding the use cases of AXA risk models to benefit AXA entities by developing products for risk management, underwriting, and prevention. YOUR PROFILE Who You Are Currently in the last year of a master’s degree program in mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, or a related field, such as engineering Strong interest in academic research, natural peril modeling and climate change problematics Strong analytical mindset, proficient programming skills (Python, R) Meticulous attention to details and autonomy to execute tasks Ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment We encourage you to apply even if you do not fully meet all the qualifications listed.
