The Opportunity:

As a programmer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support transforming the federal government with AI. As an AI Engineer on our national security team, you’ll build agentic systems, fine tune models, build RL environments, and make AI a reality for our clients.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit AI models and technologies. You’ll grow within a large community of AI engineers across the company and collaborate with product teams, data engineers, and government stakeholders to deliver world-class solutions to build agentic systems. Your skills and technical experience will help your clients navigate the landscape of AI algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:

  • Experience leading technical teams in the development of enterprise or government AI or ML systems

  • Experience engaging with non-technical leadership teams to communicate technical content and build requirements

  • Experience working with LLMs or Generative AI systems

  • Knowledge of AI frameworks, supporting tools, and design patterns such as LangGraph, MCP, or A2A

  • Knowledge of a scripting language

  • Ability to map AI solutions onto customer problems

  • Public Trust

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technology field such as Computer Science or Statistics

  

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience training generative AI systems

  • Experience deploying generative AI systems into production environments

  • Knowledge of Python

  • Ability to translate general user requirements into actionable tasks

  • Master's degree in a Technology field preferred

  • Cloud Certifications, such as AWS Certified AI Practitioner Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
