The Opportunity: 

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security? You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. You will work with a varied group of professionals to satisfy mission partner requirements. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.  

In this role, you will orchestrate the development of a hardware and software system through its entire lifecycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis Software Defined Radios (SDR) and RF domain expert involvement, risk or opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project. You will apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. You’ll develop innovative solutions to complex problems and work without considerable direction. You’ll mentor and may supervise other team members.

You Have: 

  • 3+ years of experience in signal processing, RF engineering, and programming languages such as C++, Python, or VHDL

  • 3+ years of experience in SDR applications

  • Experience with tools such as GNU Radio, USRP hardware, and SDR frameworks

  • Knowledge of RF principles, antenna theory, and propagation models

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems involving RF technologies

  • Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience in project management or leading cross-functional teams

  • Experience with emerging RF technologies

  • Experience with RF design, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization tools

  • Experience with projects that integrate multiple types of technology, utilizing RF systems such as backhaul and transport

  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines, including hardware, software, and system integration for complex systems

  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Master's degree in an Engineering field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
