Your Role
As a WLAN Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for validating wireless networking products and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will work on functional, performance, and interoperability testing for WLAN technologies across multiple platforms.
In this role, you will:
- Perform testing of WLAN features including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards.
- Validate connectivity, throughput, roaming, and security features.
- Execute test plans for functional, performance, and stress testing.
- Use tools like Wireshark, iPerf, and packet sniffers for analysis.
- Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages.
- Document test results and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
Your Profile
- Strong understanding of WLAN protocols and IEEE 802.11 standards.
- Hands-on experience with WLAN testing tools (Wireshark, iPerf, packet analyzers).
- Familiarity with access points, routers, and wireless controllers.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Experience in test automation using Python or similar languages.
- Exposure to Linux environments and shell scripting is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
