The Senior GCC Tech Analyst provides front-line support to CME Group customers across all platforms and asset classes including Futures & Options, Cash FX, and Interest Rate products, as well as weekend events contracts. The role includes investigating outages, delivering advanced market and technical assistance for front-end trading platforms, post-trade, market data, and match engine functionality, and communicating findings to management and stakeholders. The candidate will work in a customer-facing capacity, solving problems, developing ad-hoc queries, and performing data analysis to support policy, process, and technology changes. This role requires weekend coverage in Singapore with Saturday-Wednesday shifts and off on Thursdays and Fridays, along with strong analytical, communication, and scripting (Python/Unix) skills.

Description:
The Senior GCC Tech Analyst provides front-line support to customers of CME Group across all platforms and asset classes Futures & Options, Cash FX & Interest Rate products as well as the weekend events contracts. In addition, this analyst provides relevant investigation and analysis for any major outages to management and other business stakeholders. In this role, the Senior GCC Tech Analyst works regularly in a customer facing capacity to deliver informational assistance via telephone and electronic means.

In this role, the GCC Tech Analyst will have passion for solving problems and delivering excellent customer service. The candidate will deliver advanced market and technical assistance for front-end trading platforms, post-trade, market data and match engine functionality. Successful candidates will possess a majority of the below Qualifications, Experiences and be comfortable with the Responsibilities.

Responsibilities will include and not be limited to the following:

  • Develop ad-hoc queries and perform complex data analysis to create data driven solutions to support or change policy, process procedures and technologies.
  • Field customer enquiries related to market events, connectivity, business technologies and products.
  • Decides appropriate course of action when speaking with a customer, such as which actions would accurately solve their technical problem. Decides when problems need to be escalated to a higher-level resource.
  • Evaluate and monitor market activity and order flow for efficiency and anomalous behavior.
  • Perform investigations for both internal and external clients - be able to articulate challenging and complex problems and solutions to a broad range of audiences.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, computer science a related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in front office trade floor support, production/application support and technical support.
  • Experience with leading industry charting/news platforms and front ends, such as Bloomberg, Trading Technologies and Eikon Refinitiv.
  • Extensive customer facing experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good grasp of full trade life cycle from execution to front and back office (STP/Murex/MT300) processing.
  • Exposure to Grafana/Kibana/Putty/SSH/SecureCRT/Monitoring dashboards.


Experience:

  • Advanced understanding and previous experience within electronic trading, production/operation support, and market analysis.
  • FIX protocol/API connectivity knowledge alongside experience with trading GUI features to help with troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand user’s Unix logs.
  • Experience with raw market data.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix commands.
  • Experience with a scripting language (Python/Unix).
  • Experience with SQL or any database (like Oracle or KDB).
  • Ability to perform order tracing, order analysis and ability to identify latency/rejections/slippage/mismatch.
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior customer support experience via telephone and electronic means.
  • Exposure to Corvil, Wireshark and Splunk is good to have.

Saturday - Wednesday

  • Saturday: 06:45-15:45 SGT
  • Sunday: 06:45-15:45 SGT
  • Monday: 07:00-16:00 SGT
  • Tuesday: 07:00-16:00 SGT
  • Wednesday: 07:00-16:00 SGT


Weekly off:
Thursday and Friday
