We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join the (Decision Flow) DF Orchestration, Execution and Data team, which provides tools, solutions and processes for efficient and frictionless decision model development, execution and orchestration. This role is based in Vilnius, Lithuania and focuses on building an event-driven platform with Python, Kafka, IaC, CI/CD, ETL orchestration and Kubernetes to power credit origination and lifecycle decisions. You will design and implement new solutions, diagnose problems in complex, multi-service environments, and contribute to monitoring, cloud migration and stress-testing; ensure the team’s services meet defined SLAs. The role requires strong ownership and collaboration with stakeholders across technical and business functions.

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our (Decision Flow) DF Orchestration, Execution and Data team, which provides tools, solutions and processes for efficient and frictionless decision model development, execution and orchestration.

The Decision Flow cluster, builds and runs the decisioning capability that powers credit origination and lifecycle decisions across the bank’s channels. It orchestrates rules and models to assess eligibility, affordability, risk exposure, limits and other similar actions in real time. DF Cluster is a mixture of Risk organization and IT organization, including Data Scientist and Software engineers.

DF Orchestration, Execution and Data team oversees an event-driven platform built on a microservice architecture, utilizing technologies such as Python, Kafka, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, ETL orchestration and Kubernetes.

This position is based in Vilnius, Lithuania (please note: relocation package is not included).

You will:

  • Design and implement new solutions, as well as improve existing ones
  • Diagnose problems in complex, multi-service environmentsengineers on high-complexity deliveries within your area of expertise
  • For team-owned services, participate in—or for services you will own, take responsibility for—the following:

    o    defining and improving the monitoring and alerting rules
    o    planning and implementing Cloud migration
    o    designing and executing stress-testing

  • Be meeting the Service Level Objectives duty for team owned services

About you:

Must:

  • 5+ years of experience working as Infrastructure or Platform engineer
  • Experience with server-side technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience in owning Cloud deployments – preferably AWS

Expected:

  • Strong sense of ownership and can-do approach, including:

    o    Gathering, understanding and translating business requirements into production ready solutions
    o    Experience suggesting, owning, and executing service improvement projects
    o    Defining quality standards for the service
    o    Defining the means to monitor service compliance with quality standards

  • Excel in guiding and collaborating with different stakeholders having various technical backgrounds such as computer scientists, data scientist, product management and business stakeholders.

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience in creating microservices (using Java and/or Python)
  • Experience in managing Infrastructure as a Code
  • Experience of working with any of the following:

    o    Logs keeping solution – preferably Elasticsearch
    o    Queueing solution – preferably Kafka
    o    Time series db – preferably Prometheus (Thanos)
    o    Metrics visualization solution – preferably Grafana

  • Upper-Intermediate skills in English
