About Investment Bank - Fixed Income and Currencies:

As DB’s Quantitative Trading Intern, you will apply quantitative skills to address real-world trading desk challenges that have a direct impact on the business. You will be mentored by traders to develop quantitative flare to make complex financial decisions across trading markets – developed, emerging and frontier. Your contribution areas may include Trading, Structuring & Sales.

Summer Internship at FIC would entail:

  • Performing pricing and risk analysis of complex derivatives through building quantitative models using DB proprietary analytical library. Leveraging DBAnalytics for calculating risk metrics like duration, convexity, option greeks etc. to manage and hedge complex trading risks.

  • Trade level analysis using Python, DBScript, Matlab and VBA to develop quantitative trading strategies, analyze complex risk scenario, building hedging solutions, and simulation of trade-hedge dynamics under varied market scenarios

  • Quantitative risk management across asset classes: Rates - swaps, swaptions, range accruals, Credit - CDS, risky bonds, Indices, FX - forwards, barriers, variance swaps, Inflation - zero swaps, Mortgages - MBS, Hybrids – multi-currency (quanto) products, Emerging markets - cross currency swaps

  • Applying statistical methods like time series analysis, market microstructure to analyze market, build predictive models and generate trade ideas.

  • Building & Implementing trading strategies for clients through development of proprietary indices and bespoke portfolio solutions in Interest Rate, Commodities, Credit, Equity and FX markets.
