Join a newly launched systematic hedge fund as a Python Software Engineer to shape trading technology and reference data systems. You will collaborate closely with researchers, integrate new datasets, and design and implement high-performance, scalable data solutions using Python and SQL. The role is New York-based (4 days in office) and offers strong total compensation for experienced candidates.
Client:
We are working with a relatively new (and wildly successful) systematic hedge fund, launched by the ex-partners of a tier-1 player. Joining this firm presents the opportunity to shape the trajectory of their trading technology, within a close-knit highly collaborative team. You’ll be collaborating closely with researchers, assist in the integration of new datasets, and take ownership of enhancing their reference data systems.
Role: Software Engineer (Python)
Salary: Base up to $300k + bonus
Location: New York (4 days in office)
Tech stack: Python, SQL
Seeking:
- Highly proficient in Python, SQL
- Deep knowledge of financial instruments, market data and data vendors
- Ability to design and implement high-performance, scale-able data solutions
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Strong BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science (or other STEM discipline)
