Evercore's PCA team is seeking a Data Analyst to apply advanced data-driven techniques to support strategic advisory services. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Python and SQL, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance data workflows and insights within private capital markets.

Group Description: Evercore's Private Capital Advisory (PCA) team is a leading global secondaries market advisor, focusing on providing strategic advisory services to financial sponsors across a variety of portfolio and fund management objectives, advising limited partners on liquidity solutions for their private asset portfolios, and employing various forms of structured ABS technologies to create innovative capital and liquidity solutions for private markets issuers and investors.

What is the Position? PCA is seeking to hire a highly motivated Data Analyst to support the team by applying advanced data-driven techniques to business and financial challenges. The ideal candidate has strong technical and analytical skills, a foundation in Data Analytics and Information Systems, and a desire to learn and grow within a collaborative environment. The candidate should be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously, while contributing to the development of tools, processes, and insights that will support the global PCA team. This person will report to PCA’s COO and other senior PCA team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and senior bankers to identify opportunities for process automation and system integration
  • Design and implement automated workflows and reporting pipelines to enhance process efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve data timeliness and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain data validation and governance frameworks, including automated quality checks and exception reporting.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to document requirements, map data flows, and manage change management initiatives tied to new analytics tools, dashboards, and systems.
  • Collaborate with PCA’s data team to ensure data-driven insights are incorporated into deal execution and client materials
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-building by researching and applying emerging data analysis techniques relevant to secondaries analytics

Specific Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel (or equivalent)
  • Experience with DealCloud, Salesforce, or some other deal management and/or CRM
  • Intellectual curiosity about AI’s role in reshaping financial services and practical interest in experimenting with new tools
  • Strong verbal communication skills, able to explain technical work clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior bankers
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects with guidance
  • Familiarity with private markets and private market secondaries is a plus
  • Minimum 2+ years of data analytics, consulting, or banking experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Economics)

Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity. Evercore also offers a variety of benefits and programs, subject to eligibility. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance, including healthcare savings and reimbursements accounts
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
  • Life and disability insurance, including additional voluntary financial protection insurance
  • Well-being resources and programs, including mental health and mindfulness programs, digital wellness platforms, well-being events, and targeted on-site health services
  • Family-building and family-support benefits
  • Paid parental, caregiver, marriage and bereavement leave
  • Commuter benefits, health club membership discounts, and other corporate discounts
  • Paid holidays, vacation days, personal days, sick days, and volunteer opportunities
