Division
The Loan Management group resides within the Global Markets Division and supports the Mortgage Trading Desk. Trade Management group within Loan Management is responsible for directing and facilitating due diligence (at both the deal and asset levels) for the acquisition and sale/securitization of residential loan portfolios and ensuring completion of transaction closing requirements. Post trade Loan management is also responsible for the asset management and facilitation of the portfolio’s strategies including interacting with third party vendors to manage assets.


Responsibilities
• AI/Automation Project Development & Delivery:
• Own the end-to-end development and delivery of AI/Automation projects, from conceptualization and prototyping to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Utilize expert-level Python programming skills to build, test, and optimize AI algorithms, automation scripts, and data processing pipelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs/Automations to facilitate seamless integration of AI models and automated processes with existing systems.
• Manage code repositories and collaborate effectively with team members using Git and other version control systems.
• Data Management & Reporting:
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring data integrity and availability for AI models.
• Provide management and oversight of mortgage data, including data analysis and data validation.
• Fulfill ad hoc data requests and develop regulatory and business-critical reporting through automated toolkits.
• Process Optimization & Automation:
• Identify processes suitable for automation, then streamline and automate them using various automation tools.
• Coordinate with internal business functions to develop and enhance processes through automation initiatives.
• Communicate and coordinate with various production groups to increase efficiencies via process automation.
• Collaboration, Communication & Documentation:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, other engineers, to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and project progress effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create comprehensive and clear technical documentation for all developed solutions, APIs, codebases, and processes.
• Industry Knowledge & Continuous Improvement:
• Stay informed about the latest advancements, market trends, and best practices in AI, machine learning, and automation, particularly within the financial or mortgage industry.
• Project Management:
• Provide project management for initiatives driven by the team.
• (Good to have): Explore and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline business processes.
• Professional Ethics: Adherence to high ethical standards and best practices.
Skills/Experience
Core Technical Proficiency:
• AI/ML Development: End-to-end experience in building, deploying, and maintaining AI/Machine Learning projects.
• Programming: Expert-level Python for AI algorithms, automation scripts, and data pipelines.
• API Development: Designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs for system integration.
• Version Control: Proficient in Git for collaborative code management.
• Database & ETL: Strong SQL skills for data manipulation, querying, and RDBMS (SQL Server/Sybase ASE preferred). Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
Data & Domain Knowledge:
• Data Analysis: Expertise in data analysis, MIS, and data modeling.
Mortgage Industry: Understanding of mortgage data structures, business processes, and financial industry context.
• AI Market Trends: Knowledge of current AI advancements and applications.
Automation & Process Optimization:
• Process Automation: Identifying, streamlining, and automating business processes using various tools.
• Power Platform (Good to have): Familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps for business process automation.
Professional & Interpersonal Skills:
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
