The HPC Engineer at IMC will design, implement, and optimize global high-performance computing infrastructure to support large-scale computing and machine learning workloads. The role involves driving innovation and scalability across research and trading environments by collaborating with global teams and integrating emerging technologies.

We’re looking for a HPC Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimise our global high-performance computing infrastructure. This role will shape the future of our compute platforms, driving innovation, scalability, and efficiency across our research and trading environments.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and optimise HPC systems for large-scale computing and ML workloads
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging hardware and software to enhance performance and scalability
  • Define and enforce HPC architectural standards and best practices across global teams
  • Implement performance monitoring and analytics tools to drive continuous optimisation
  • Ensure compliance with internal security and regulatory standards across all systems
  • Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and traders to translate computational needs into scalable solutions

Your Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in HPC engineering, system design, or a similar role within a large-scale compute environment
  • Deep expertise in HPC system design, performance optimisation, and parallel computing
  • Strong programming background is advantageous, with experience in Python preferable.
  • Experience with storage and job management systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Vast, DDN)
  • Familiarity with high-performance processors, GPUs, and large-scale networking technologies
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and their integration within HPC systems
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to influence and align global technical teams
