We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong data visualisation experience to support front‑office teams in analysing, interpreting, and presenting financial market data. The role involves working with large, complex datasets and translating quantitative insights into clear, actionable outputs for trading, risk and management stakeholders. Key duties include building dashboards and reports, collaborating with quants, traders, and technology to automate analytics, developing metrics for pricing and PnL explanations, and ensuring data accuracy across reporting processes. The position offers strong exposure to London trading teams with potential progression within ING's eTrading and trading functions.
Department Overview:
The Financial Markets (FM) landscape is rapidly going through a process of digitisation, at the core of which is eTrading. eTrading at ING covers all products traded in ING FM. These span from the very liquid and electronic products (cash equities, futures, commodities and FX), Fixed Income products (corporate and government bonds) which are in the process of becoming electronic due to balance sheet reduction and regulation, to the less liquid and less electronic derivative products. Data is core to eTrading and a driver for growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with strong data visualisation experience to support front‑office teams in analysing, interpreting, and presenting financial market data. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large, complex datasets and will translate quantitative insights into clear, actionable outputs for trading, risk, and management stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse market, trading, and risk data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance drivers.
Build intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate insights effectively to front‑office and senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with quants, traders, and technology teams to automate recurring analytics and enhance data pipelines.
Develop metrics and analytics to support pricing, PnL explanation, market behaviour monitoring, and business decision‑making.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and documentation across reporting processes.

Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education
Essential: Degree in numerical subject
Desirable: Masters in numerical subject
Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
Strong Python skills
Experience in data analysis
Experience in data visualisation
Desirable:
KDB/q experience
Experience on an eTrading desk
Understanding of financial markets, products, and market data (e.g., rates, FX, credit, derivatives).
