Intel Vietnam is seeking Module Engineer roles within the Test Engineering Department focused on Test Program Development & VLSI Design and on-line ATE processes. The roles involve developing and optimizing test programs, interfacing with test hardware (electrical and thermomechanical), and driving product health indicators across high-speed semiconductor devices. Responsibilities include testability feedback, specification refinement, data analysis (SQL, Python, R), equipment maintenance and qualification, and continuous improvement of test processes to support high-volume manufacturing. Both positions require 3+ years in semiconductor testing and willingness to work onsite in a 12-hour rotational shift pattern.

Intel Products Vietnam is the mega Assembly and Test plant within Intel’s global Assembly and Test network. The clean room facility is located at Saigon High Tech Park in Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh city. The site is proud of producing Intel’s latest technology chip products including 5G, IoT, Desktop, Mobile, etc.

Position#1: Module Engineer Within Test Engineering Department (Test Program Development & VLSI Design)

  • Interface directly with customer in developing optimum Test Program interaction with Test Hardware (both Electrical and Thermomechanical) to achieve product health indicators.
    • Testability Feedback: Provide input to design teams on test challenges and DFT improvements
    • Specification Refinement: Help refine test specifications based on actual circuit behavior
    • Process Sensitivity Analysis: Identify which circuit elements are most sensitive to assembly variations
    • Cost Optimization: Balance test coverage with cost based on circuit criticality
  • Test Hardware and Equipment Optimization:
    • Load Board Design: Understand signal integrity requirements for high-speed digital and analog circuits
    • Test Socket Selection: Choose appropriate test interfaces based on circuit I/O requirements
    • Measurement Accuracy: Determine required test equipment precision based on circuit specifications
    • Thermal Management: Understand power dissipation patterns for effective thermal test strategies

Position#2: Module Engineer Within Test Engineering Department (ATE)

  • Responsible for developing and improving test process on industry-standard Tester and Handler Equipment (ATE) (Teradyne Flex, Advantest V93K, HonPrec Handlers, etc.)
  • Owns execution of maintenance and repair activities for equipment and relevant module of components.
  • Owns critical high volume manufacturing equipment and processes that enable rapid device miniaturization and the mass production of integrated circuits.
  • Initiates and owns the continuous improvement of equipment and process for key performance indicators (e.g., safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, and yield) and works with equipment suppliers as required.
  • Owns process development line items aligned to high volume process nodes.
  • Participates in the transfer of technology to other sites through training and audit of installation and qualification outcomes to ensure matched processing across sites.
  • Owns development and optimization of excursion prevention systems for the equipment and process.
  • Owns detection of discrepant material or activities of the equipment and process to achieve high level of quality.
  • During factory ramps, owns equipment install/conversion and qualification to ensure tools are installed safely and on schedule, while meeting all quality/matching criteria (from design through Safety Level 1 and Safety Level Supplier milestones, Intel qual and manufacturing readiness processes).

Qualifications:

Position#1: Module Engineer Within Test Engineering Department (Test Program Development & VLSI Design)

  • Possess a Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automation Control or other relevant technical or engineering discipline.
  • Develop Test Program with deep understanding of its interaction with Hardware and different Applications in use.
  • Knowledge of schematic/electronic circuitry interpretation.
  • Have more than 3-year working experience in the same field of Semiconductor Testing.
  • Experience with data analysis through programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc., is preferred.
  • Skilled in using MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English communication.
  • Be able to work in a team.
  • Exhibits a self-motivated and team-oriented approach, with a data-driven mindset, a sense of ownership, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Demonstrate discipline, attentiveness to detail and self-independence.
  • Capable to timely manage multiple assignments and meet the deliverable timeline.
  • Willingness to work onsite in a 12-hour rotational shift pattern, 4 days per week, as required by business needs, with additional allowances provided.

Position#2: Module Engineer Within Test Engineering Department (ATE)

  • Possess a Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automation Control or other relevant technical or engineering discipline.
  • Trained and Proficient on industry Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program (Sustaining, Preventive Maintenance, CIP's, Problem Solving, good network in the field).
  • Have more than 3-year working experience in the same field of Semiconductor Testing.
  • Knowledge of schematic/electronic circuitry interpretation.
  • Experience with data analysis through programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc., is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in statistical and problem-solving tools like 8D, FMEA, Lean Six Sigma methodology, OCAP, JMP statistical analysis and Design of Experiment
    Knowledgeable in quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949/AIAG etc.) standard requirements
  • Skilled in using MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English communication.
  • Be able to work in a team.
  • Exhibits a self-motivated and team-oriented approach, with a data-driven mindset, a sense of ownership, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Demonstrate discipline, attentiveness to detail and self-independence.
