As a PDM System and Automation Developer Intern, you will join a global team responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Product Data Management (PDM) systems and automation solutions. You will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of tools that streamline engineering workflows and improve productivity.

This internship is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working with technical systems, and able to work independently with general guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of PDM systems used across Intel’s engineering teams.
  • Contribute to automation solutions that optimize engineering workflows and system integrations.
  • Assist in designing and building software solutions that meet customer and platform requirements.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver effective and reliable solutions.
  • Participate in testing and validating new features, tools, and process improvements.
  • Analyze system behavior and performance to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Provide customerfocused support to engineering teams and help troubleshoot technical issues.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4 months of experience (academic or industry) in:
    • Programing languages: C#, Python, PhP
    • Web server knowledge on Apache, Tomcat and IIS
    • Network protocols such as http, https, ftps and ssh.
  • Advance English level.
  • Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQL installation, maintenance and tuning
  • OS knowledge such as: Windows Server (management, domains, IIS, Active directory and security)
  • Hardware knowledge for specifying appropriate systems
  • Basic knowledge on enterprise systems.
  • Environment automation and custom code development/maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, DevOps)
  • Basic knowledge of API development and use
  • Basic knowledge of Shell scripting
  • Networking expertise (LAN, WAN)
  • Knowledge and use of Java, JSP, JavaScript, J2EE and XML, JSON

A candidate who accepts an offer of employment in Mexico is required to present their own personal identification information and numbers for the following: Mexican Security Number (NSS), Tax Identification Number (RFC) and CURP identification number.
