As a Senior Software Engineer in the Equities Front Office Trading and Analytics Team, you will lead the Evo Future State workstream, partnering with trading desks, technology teams, and Quantitative Research. You will develop and enhance critical applications supporting marking, AI trading, trade management, risk, and analytics. You’ll work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating globally to deliver high-quality solutions. Your contributions will help transform business processes and drive the success of our trading platform.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of new and existing trading and analytics applications
  • Collaborate closely with trading, sales, Quantitative Research, and technology teams
  • Drive automation of front office processes using innovative technology solutions
  • Ensure stability and reliability of the application stack
  • Participate in business transformation projects across analytics, marking, and publishing
  • Propose and explore new solutions to maintain a competitive edge
  • Apply disciplined code management, testing, and deployment practices
  • Break down requirements into technical deliverables and estimate effort
  • Solve complex problems with mathematical and technological approaches
  • Communicate effectively with global team members and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of a global platform in a collaborative environment

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Python or another modern programming language
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining commercial service-oriented applications
  • Strong understanding of systematic trading technology platforms
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle
  • Familiarity with unit testing and disciplined development practices
  • Ability to translate requirements into technical deliverables
  • Experience working effectively within a global team
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a mathematical or technological focus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Effective communication skills for describing problems and solutions
  • Business knowledge of simple derivative products, including pricing and risk evaluation

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience in equities or other relevant business areas
  • Knowledge of Unix or Linux environments
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Experience with project management
  • Understanding of service-oriented platforms and open source frameworks
