Analyst role in Tax Tech/Transformation in Mumbai. You will document tax system requirements, develop and execute test plans, and coordinate defect management with business and technology teams. You will help assess end-to-end impacts of system changes, ensure timely issue escalation and resolution, and maintain ongoing engagement with Tax and project teams. The role requires strong data handling, analytical, documentation, and organizational skills, with collaboration across functions.

As a Tax Analyst in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

Job responsibilities 

  • Document and coordinate system requirements from a tax perspective
  • Support team members by developing and laying out test plans for each defined requirement
  • Collaborate closely with business and technology teams to manage defects, including identification, resolution, and retesting
  • Assist the team in understanding and documenting the end-to-end (E2E) impact of system changes
  • Ensure issues are promptly raised, escalated, followed up, and driven through to resolution
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and engagement with key contacts across JPMC, including Tax and relevant project teams
  • Assist local management with other team initiatives as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ability to work with, and use, large amounts of data
  • Good analytical skills, a problem solver, logical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written skills with clear, concise & logical documentation
  • Good communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organization & planning skills
  • Team player with ability work with colleagues in a collaborative manner, as well as being able to proactively progress multiple tasks independently

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 1 years’ of experience in Indirect Tax compliance; experience in Tax Tech would be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of automation tools (Alteryx / Tableau / Python)
  • Background in financial services operations is an added plus
