Join KKR's Dublin Technology team to build cloud-native microservices and data-rich web applications supporting portfolio management and business operations. POSITION OVERVIEW

KKR is looking to add a talented Backend Engineer to its rapidly growing Dublin Technology team. Our agile team is responsible for delivering solutions to aid in driving our world class Portfolio Management and Business Operations teams through investment strategy, portfolio management and operations. You’ll work on a cloud-native tech stack of micro services leveraging Kubernetes and modern approaches to CI/CD. We primarily use React on the frontend as well as Python on the backend. As an Engineer, you will help further the standard for engineering excellence not only on the team but in the entire organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Write and review code, and deploy systems that support the business
Participate in application design and architecture reviews
Engage in an agile, iterative software development process
Collaborate closely with business, product and engineering stakeholders
Break down complex problems into simple, creative, and effective solutions
Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability
Provide support for the platform

QUALIFICATIONS

~3+ years of software engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science)
Knowledge of python / other object-oriented programming language with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data applications
Experience designing, delivering, and securing data-rich web applications in relevant web programming frameworks (e.g. React) a strong plus
Familiarity with databases and data pipelines
Interest in finance, hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative commercial environment
Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders
Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail
Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
