Role Purpose

Provides quality control tests and analysis of outcomes in a software development life cycle to ensure technology solutions meet or exceed business and customer needs.

Role Responsibilities

• Supports a wide range of quality control planning and execution activities in alignment with the organization's standards and strategy to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified business and customer needs.
• Gathers testing requirements by evaluating the product requirement (functional / non-functional) and raise clarifications with product owners, business analysts and customers.
• Develops, executes and maintains test scripts/cases autonomously – manual, automation, performance, and supporting analysis. Assigns required tests to Associates.
• Ensures test traceability and reporting on testing progress and activities.
• Recommends and supports the implementation of improvements to quality control frameworks, processes and standards.
• Builds positive relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with the team.
• Communicates clearly with team and keeps clear lines of communication open to ensure full understanding of tasks, asking questions where needed.
  

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the software industry, including hands-on work with software quality frameworks using Java or Python.
• ISTQB Core Foundation Certified or equivalent
• Exhibits good knowledge in software quality assurance processes and
• Exhibits good experience in manual, test automation or performance testing
• Exhibits good experience in the software development life cycle and one programming language (JAVA or Python), preferably in multi-tiered applications.

SKILLS AND PROFICIENCY

Quality Assurance: -

Performing assigned testing tasks to ensure a product/service meets or exceeds specified standards and objectives to achieve desired level of quality.

Test framework development / test scripting: -

Involve in developing, maintaining test framework and test scripts, demonstrates creativity and innovation using available software testing tools.

In-depth/breadth tech expertise: -

In depth technical expertise, knowledge of technologies and design, development and implementation of technologies related to role.

Problem solving: -

Defines a problem, generates solutions, and evaluates and identifies the best solution to overcome the problem.

Communication: -

Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex / technical information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.

Documentation: -

Creates and maintains documentation to describe the system functionalities, testing requirements, etc.
