Senior Technical QA Engineer is responsible for configuring, automating and executing the tools and processes that enable faster, repeatable software development with minimal guidance. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, automate, test, maintain and deploy QA tools, and to carry out non-functional testing. You will develop test frameworks, configure CI/CD pipelines, automate performance and fault-tolerance tests, monitor application, CI/CD and infrastructure, and help standardize CI/CD tools and processes.

Role Profile

Senior Technical QA Engineer is an objective driven individual responsible for configuration, automation and executing of the tools and processes that enable faster and repetitive software development with minimum guidance. The engineer will work closely and collaboratively with multi-functional teams to implement, automate, test, maintain and deploy different tools and carryout non-functional testing.

The candidate must contribute in the following capacities:

  • Develop Test frameworks and improve efficiency of the testing team.

  • Configure Continues Delivery pipelines. Ability to solve and fix issues with minimum guidance or supervision.

  • Understand simple change requirement and implement solution. This may involve designing simple solution to optimise workflows.

  • Involve in Application operational cycle configuration and automation and optimisation

  • Automated and implement performance and fault tolerance test cases

  • Application, CI/CD and infrastructure monitoring and fixing

  • Help implement DevOps tools and proactively support the development infrastructure by monitor

  • Help standardize our Continues Integration and Continues Delivery tools and processes

Required Skills and Experience:

  • One year or more experience in a similar capacity

  • Moderate scripting (e.g. Python) and automation skills

  • Moderate skills in at least one object-oriented programming language (Eg: Java)

  • Exposure to Linux based development environments

  • Experience in test framework development, automation experience with configuration management tools.

  • Experience in cloud technologies and key concepts

  • Experience in CI/CD processes

Other Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively to audiences with differing levels of domain expertise (presentations, reports, justification)

  • Diligent individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations.

  • Strong teammate

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively, handle multiple objectives under tight deadlines, identify/ flag/resolve potential issues early on

  • Takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
