Join Macquarie's enterprise AI enablement team to design and build backend systems powering AI-native solutions in Banking and Financial Services. As a software engineer, you will own end-to-end architecture, development, testing and operations in a modern DevOps environment. You will apply your engineering expertise to implement LLMOps practices and streamline deployment and monitoring of AI models in production. This permanent, full-time role is based in Sydney and involves collaboration with data scientists in a multi-disciplinary team.

- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer in an agile DevOps environment using an object-oriented development language (python preferred)
- Experience across the full SDLC including design, build, test, and supporting mission-critical production platforms
- Strong proficiency in writing robust, production-grade code to build scalable backend solutions and automate complex workflows
- Demonstrated proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and managing deployments in a containerised cloud environment (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Exposure to modern agentic AI concepts and frameworks: RAG, MCP, GCP vertex AI, google ADK, LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex
- Knowledge of "LLMOps" best practices for streamlining model experimentation, deployment, and monitoring in a live environment.
