Technology Department Description

The Technology Department delivers differentiation, scalability, and security for the business. Reporting to the COO, Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile ‘streams’ aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.

Function Overview

The Software Development function is responsible for creating and maintaining applications, frameworks, and software components that meet business requirements. Each Development team is aligned to a specific Marex business division and works in close partnership with the Business Technology and Application Support teams.

Function Overview 

The Support function provides technical and operational support for all Marex applications. The first‑line Application Support team operates a 24/5 global front door, ensuring systems remain stable and available, while business‑aligned Support teams specialise in maintaining the applications and technologies used within their respective business divisions. Each team works closely with a corresponding Business Technology and Development team to deliver seamless service, rapid issue resolution, and strong operational resilience.

IAM Operations 

The IAM Operations Analyst role manages end‑to‑end Identity and Access Management activities across multiple systems and regions. This includes user provisioning and deprovisioning, enforcing role‑based access control (RBAC), and ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and SOX, alongside internal security standards. The role is responsible for maintaining detailed access documentation and audit logs, performing RBAC reviews to ensure appropriate access levels, and partnering with IT, security, and business leaders to align IAM practices with organisational needs. Additional responsibilities include leading investigations into access‑related security incidents, delivering user training and awareness, managing high‑priority access requests in line with IAM guidelines and SLAs, and monitoring Jira queues to ensure timely resolution of access‑related tickets.

The IT Group delivers enterprise‑wide services to end users and manages the firm’s infrastructure and data. Within this function, Marex Technology has established a dedicated Data team that enables the business to leverage data assets to increase productivity, enhance decision‑making, and maintain strong data compliance. The product design function oversees the full design workflow—from UX research and stakeholder engagement to UI execution and Design System management—ensuring alignment, usability, and consistency across all visual touchpoints.

Role Summary

The Visual Designer role requires strong graphic design skills to support the rollout and ongoing creation of collateral for the firm’s corporate branding. The role involves producing a wide range of materials—including brochures, PowerPoint and Word templates, digital assets, event collateral, and social media content—working in alignment with the Marex brand guidelines. You will contribute to, manage, and expand the organisation’s brand design system, ensuring consistency across business divisions.   • Interest in motion design and video content production is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting design choices and collaborating with stakeholders.

  • Strong interest in designing using grids and structured brand systems, ensuring clarity, coherence, and visual precision.
  • Well‑developed visual design sensibility, able to produce balanced, engaging, aesthetically refined work.
  • Ability to articulate design rationale—explaining why a design succeeds or falls short based on visual and conceptual principles.
  • Highly developed typographic sensitivity with attention to spacing, kerning, and consistent type treatment.
  • Strategic design thinking, considering how visual decisions support brand goals, user needs, and broader business objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA 
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with

  • Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required

  • Provide input to risk management processes, as required
