Maven is seeking a Trading Analyst to support its Options Market Making desk. The role involves scripting in Python, performing trading data analysis, prototyping strategy improvements, and supporting day-to-day operational tasks. You will collaborate closely with traders and developers to enhance trading strategies and identify new opportunities. The position demands strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive problem solving.

THE ROLE: We are looking for a Trading Analyst to join our Options Market Making business. The eligible candidate will be responsible for supporting the trading desks in scripting jobs, trading data analysis and operational tasks. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day responsibility for scripts that support the trading activity 
  • Working with traders to design and improve trading strategies through data analysis, prototyping as well as collaboration with developers
  • Proactively supporting operational tasks on the trading desks
  • To comply with all applicable Compliance policies, procedures, laws and regulations.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Strong Python skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to demonstrate wider interest in financial markets
  • Outstanding numerical and analytical skills
  • Proactive interest in improving existing trading strategies and identifying new opportunities
  • Ability to take a high level of responsibility in an expanding, highly successful firm
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fast problem solving skills
