The Advanced Technologies Group at NVIDIA is hiring a CAD Engineer for Physical Design in the Standard Cell Library team, targeting new graduates for 2026. The role focuses on developing and optimizing standard cell templates across new process technologies, promoting design-for-manufacturing methodologies, and improving library validation and release flows. You will write scripts using Python, Perl, Tcl, Cadence SKILL, and C++, work with CAD tool vendors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve methodologies and efficiencies. The Advanced Technologies Group is looking to hire a CAD Engineer, Physical Design - New College Grad 2026 in our Standard Cell Library development team. Do you have an understanding of circuits, layouts and VLSI design and enjoy working on the cutting edge of process technologies? Must have a passion for writing code! If you answer yes to the above, then we have a job that might be a good fit for you!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop and optimize standard cell templates in new process technologies.

  • Define and promote design for manufacturing (DFM) methodologies.

  • Improve library validation and release flow.

  • Write scripts using Perl, Python, tcl, Cadence SKILL, and C++.

  • Work with CAD tool vendors to evaluate new tools, resolve bugs and improve usability.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to continuously improve methodologies and efficiencies and drive efforts to resolution.

What We Need To See:

  • Recently completed a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Have an understanding of mosfet device behavior, CMOS layout, and VLSI design

  • Great interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for providing excellent support for end-users.
