Lead the development and enhancement of power models and power-saving features for NVIDIA's GPU architectures, enabling high performance for graphics and deep learning workloads. Collaborate with chip architects and researchers to build simulators, infrastructure, and validate new features that improve power and efficiency. Define requirements and dependencies across Architecture, Software, and Hardware teams, and explore architectural tradeoffs in DL/ML and graphics workloads. Stay hungry to learn about future parallel programming models and work across RTL, simulators, and real silicon.

We are now looking for a Senior GPU Power Architect!

The NVIDIA GPU Architecture group is looking for world class architects and software developers to join and lead our various architecture efforts. A key part of NVIDIA's strength is to innovate in the graphics and parallel computing fields delivering the highest performance in the world for parallel processing algorithms. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our GPU architecture and maintain our leadership by creating and maintaining accurate power models, defining new architectures and building new infrastructure that is required to make this successful. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing various features in the GPU architecture that advance the state of the art in power for graphics and deep learning workloads. You would interact with other world-class architects and researchers to build simulators and infrastructure to design and validate these new features.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with chip architects to understand architecture concept and high-level system requirements

  • Identify key areas for power improvements across Architecture/Software/Hardware and develop new features, defining requirements and dependencies across various teams.

  • Creating power models of key GPU units to evaluate architectural tradeoffs in DL/ML (training/inference) and graphics workloads

  • Drive improvements to architecture development processes to improve execution capabilities.

  • Design new hardware power saving features for future graphics and parallel processing architectures.

  • Be knowledgeable about future parallel programming models and their impact to hardware.

  • Be hungry to learn and work on simulators, RTL and real silicon.

What we need to see:

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in GPU or CPU architecture (or other equivalent experience).

  • Programming ability in C++ and Python.

  • Background in hardware design, computer architecture, graphics algorithms, parallel processing, signal processing and/or high performance computing.

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. If you're creative, autonomous and love a challenge, we want to hear from you! Come, join our GPU Architecture team and help build the real-time, cost-effective computing platform driving our success in this exciting and quickly growing field.
