Join NVIDIA's Robotics Simulation team to help advance Isaac Sim, the robotics simulation platform. You will work closely with simulation engineers and robotics researchers to design and improve simulation tools, configure and test different types of robots, and simulate sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, and IMU. You will also generate synthetic data for perception and training, support transfer learning from simulation to real robots, and optimize physics simulation to reduce the sim-to-real gap, while enabling software-in-the-loop and full-stack testing workflows.

Today, NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, encouraging environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how we can make a lasting impact on the world.

We are now looking for a Software Intern for our Robotics Simulation team!

NVIDIA Isaac Sim is a cutting-edge robotics simulation platform that empowers researchers and engineers to accelerate the development and deployment of intelligent robots. Using the power of NVIDIA's AI and GPU technologies, Isaac Sim offers a realistic and scalable environment for training, validating, and optimizing robots for real-world scenarios.

What you will be doing:

Work closely with simulation engineers, robotics researchers, to design and improve simulation tools.

  • Provides tools to configure, simulate, and test different types of robots

  • Simulates different physical sensors (camera, lidar, IMU)

  • Generates synthetic data (segmentation, bounding boxes, etc.) for perception, navigation and manipulation training.

  • Ensures transfer learning from simulation to physical robots.

  • Enhance the physics simulation of the robots to reduce the sim to real gap.

  • Provide a seamless workflow for software in the loop and full stack testing.

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Applied Math or equivalent program.

  • Software development skills, experienced with both C++ and Python as well as version control systems like Git.

  • Strong mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra and calculus.

  • Experience with ROS2 based workflows, with robotics simulation or hardware experience.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with Isaac Sim, Omniverse, USD, game/physics engine development, computer graphics.

  • Experience with shipping and supporting software products.

  • Experience with data-parallel and/or accelerated computing (CUDA, OpenCL).

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and talented people in the world working for us. If you're creative and have a passion for developing and shipping groundbreaking products, we want to hear from you!

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 29 CAD - 53 CAD.

You will also be eligible for Intern benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until January 13, 2026.

This posting is for an existing vacancy.
