General Summary:

Qualcomm Open Source Engineering team works with internal and external groups to manage their use of open source and third-party software. The compliance team is a multi-disciplinary team with a variety of experience and skills.

Your tasks will include developing web services, micro-services, automation and workflows to optimize the Open-Source review process and open development at Qualcomm. You will also need to support the applications and systems that Qualcomm depend on for our software licensing compliance and IP protection. You will also develop integrations with engineering tools and systems, perform administration and scripting activities in a Linux environment, review data to troubleshoot, work with IT/release engineering to investigate issues in SCM environments and provide direct user support to our compliance and legal teams for integration issues. You will interact directly with end-users and stakeholders across the company to resolve problems, provide information to the internal team and follow up with customers to provide support. You will be required to learn and understand the workflows and process in place for our scanning and compliance review work to effectively support the internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full stack applications.

  • Contribute to automation and workflows to optimize the compliance process.

  • Interact with end-users to collect requirements or resolve issues if any.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Django and React frameworks.

  • Expertise in application development using Celery.

  • Expertise in PL/SQL, experience with PostgreSQL is a plus.

  • Expertise in application development using RabbitMQ.

  • Experience in frontend technologies like React/Next/Vue JS, CSS is a big plus.

  • Experience in Docker and writing Dockerfile is a plus.

  • Experience in Git/Perforce is a plus.

  • Experience in shell scripting, developing applications and troubleshooting in a UNIX/Linux environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision.

  • Strong analytic, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail oriented and able to document troubleshooting and resolutions accurately and thoroughly.

Qualification

  • BE or B-Tech in Computer Science (or in related streams) or higher with 3-5 years relevant experience.

  • Thorough understanding of software development life cycle.

  • Thorough understanding of web service, application, and micro-service architectures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
