You will perform silicon-based performance and power profiling at GPU and system levels, leveraging software/hardware and architectural knobs to identify opportunities to improve performance and power efficiency. The Qualcomm Graphics System Team is responsible for the development of end to end and system on chip (SOC) architectural solutions for next generation of graphics processing units (GPUs) and compute devices.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, your work will have critical impact in influencing next generation GPUs to be more enhanced/efficient and to maintain competitive edge in Qualcomm Graphics solution.
  • You will be contributing to silicon-based performance and power profiling analysis at GPU as well as system level for the mobile graphics workloads such as benchmark/games by exploiting different SW/HW/Architectural knobs to find opportunities to improve perf/W.
  • Be engaged and contribute to competitive perf/power profiling analysis for popular benchmark/games to identify or be able to explain the gaps with reasonable evidence which could lead to next generation architecture/HW/SW enhancement opportunities.
  • Develop tools for efficient, streamlined and scalable debug/validation/verification tasks.
  • Participate, contribute in next generation model improvement, finding optimization opportunity in HW by providing post-si learning.

This role requires :

  • familiarity working with graphics workload (Games/Benchmarks application and traces),
  • experience of GPU centric perf and power data collection,
  • knowledge of power measurement methodology (familiarity of equipment, understanding of power data interpretation, etc.),
  • programming knowledge (python preferred) for building/maintaining automations
  • be able to analyze performance and power on internal and external devices,
  • have high level understanding of different SOC components (such as CPU, GPU, DDR, path-to-DDR)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of graphics API, knowledge of graphics workloads
  • Understanding of power concepts
  • Knowledge of python (or any other) programming
  • Min 1 years on job experience
  • Minimum of Bachelor degree required

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree 2 to 5 years of relevant experience SOC level power analysis as well as product level power analysis Experience in competitive performance and power analysis for CPU or GPU centric use cases

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
